Telos Alliance Linear Acoustic ARC Loudness Processor Now Shipping

Next-generation television loudness processor delivers Linear Acoustic quality with the right features at the right price.

Cleveland, OH  (July 16, 2019) – The Telos Alliance® —globally recognized provider and trusted partner in IP audio and processing solutions—has announced the Linear Acoustic ARC (Automatic Realtime Control), the company's next-generation television loudness processor first introduced at IBC 2018, is now shipping worldwide.

Uncompromised quality with the right features at the right price.
Linear Acoustic has long been recognized as the global leader in realtime television loudness control, meeting the demands of compliance regulations while maintaining the highest possible audio quality. The introduction of ARC brings this quality within reach of budget-conscious customers and delivers a feature set that makes it particularly attractive to markets where support for multi-channel and coded audio are not needed.

"Customers on a strict budget no longer have to accept mediocre television audio processing," says John Schur, president, Telos Alliance TV Solutions Group. "And they don't need to pay for features like multi-channel support, coding, or audience measurement capabilities in markets or regions where they aren't needed or supported."

A true global processor that's easy to use.
ARC can simultaneously process two unique 2-channel stereo or mono programs and is at home in the U.S. and around the world, delivering audio that is compliant to any global loudness standard including EBU R128 and ATSC A/85. Setup is straightforward and simple using the browser- and platform-agnostic web-based user interface: Specify a target output loudness value, choose a processing profile for the desired recommendation, and walk away fully confident that ARC will deliver complaint audio to your viewers. Dual redundant internal auto-sensing power supplies (100-264VAC, 50/60Hz) are standard.

Ready now, ready for the future.
ARC's I/O includes one audio pair via AES-3 and eight audio pairs via 3Gb/s HD/SD-SDI, making it easy to integrate into existing facilities.  Because it also features AES67, ARC is ready for the transition to IP-based audio and natively supports SMPTE ST 2110-30 workflows.
