Telos Alliance Leads the Way in Education at WBA 2017 Broadcast Clinic

Middleton, WI (Telos Alliance Booth 46 & BGS Booth 11-14) / CLEVELAND, OH – October 6, 2017

The Telos Alliance®—innovator in broadcast radio and TV technology and parent company to Telos®, Omnia®, Axia®, Linear Acoustic®, 25-Seven®, and Minnetonka™—announced today that it will be leading two panels, exhibiting in its own booth (#46) as well as with dealer partner Broadcasters General Store (BGS) (booths #11-14), and sponsoring the WBA 2017 Broadcasters Clinic at the Madison Marriott West Hotel in Middleton, WI, October 10-12.

The sessions are as follows:

"Virtual Talkshow and Sports Production: Convenient Connections Create Compelling Content" by Kirk Harnack
Tuesday, October 10th, at 1:15pm CT–Superior Room
Convenient connections create compelling content. Telecom technologies like SIP/VoIP are becoming more ubiquitous and less mysterious. Along with fast Internet and VPNs, they not only enable flexible workflows, they allow alternatives to single-studio or expensive remote solutions. This presentation demonstrates some clever implementations in use now, as well as previews strategies and techniques for achieving efficient and effective talkshow and other radio production workflows.

"Adopting VoIP/SIP to Improve Live Coverage Workflows While Slashing Expenses" by Martin Dyster and Kirk Harnack
Thursday, October 12th, at 11am CT–Superior Room
Live coverage television is rife with difficulties and pitfalls, and every TV facility is looking to cut expenses. More TV stations are discovering VoIP/SIP service along with the modern studio equipment that makes it effective. From instant IFB connections to great-sounding severe weather spotter reports, VoIP/SIP technology and equipment is improving audio quality both behind the scenes and on air. This presentation demonstrates how TV stations are improving in-the-field reporting while saving hundreds to thousands on their telecom costs.

In an effort to continue its support of smaller regional shows, the Telos Alliance will also be sponsoring the WBA Broadcasters Clinic breaks and attendee breakfast on Wednesday, October 11.

WBA 2017 Broadcasters Clinic attendees are invited to come see cutting-edge broadcast audio products from Telos Alliance Radio and TV Solutions Groups at both the Telos Alliance booth (46) and BGS Booths (11-14).
