Telos Alliance Z/IPStream R/2 Adds Triton Digital Streaming Platform April 05, 2016

5 April 2016, Cleveland Ohio, USA

The Telos Alliance® announced today that its Z/IPStream™ R/2—the latest addition to a complete line of software and hardware solutions for stream processing and encoding — has added Triton Digital® as a streaming partner. Z/IPStream welcomes Triton Digital into its growing family of stream encapsulation formats that includes popular streaming server platforms and content delivery networks.

“We are pleased to partner with the Telos Alliance to bring this innovative hardware appliance to the streaming audio market,” says Richard Hill, SVP/GM of Streaming at Triton Digital.

By switching to this processor, audio publishers will significantly reduce operation costs and streamline the implementation process, removing the burden of setup and maintenance of IT personnel,” adds Samuel Sousa, Solutions and Technology Specialist at Triton Digital.

Z/IPStream R/2 is ideal for high-density applications requiring multiple channels of streaming audio content, each with unique processing and encoding requirements. Multiple stream types—fixed or adaptive—can be encoded simultaneously from each audio input channel. The R/2’s 1RU chassis supports up to eight stereo audio input channels and features Livewire® and AES/EBU audio I/O. Each channel includes either standard Omnia® three-band processing or optional full Omnia.9 processing. Omnia.9 includes exclusive ‘Undo’ plus de-clipping technology that reverses the damage done by hyper-processing and ‘brickwall’ audio mastering, plus up to seven bands of processing and a comprehensive set of audio analysis tools. Supported encoding algorithms include AAC-LC, HE-AAC v1/v2, xHE-AAC, and MP3.

As consumers continue to receive more and more media via streaming, it’s important that content providers have reliable platforms to distribute those services,” says Ioan Rus, Director of Streaming Products for the Telos Alliance. “We’re excited to partner with Triton Digital to offer its clients an extremely flexible and robust encoding platform compatible with its content distribution and dynamic ad replacement technology.”

Z/IPStream R/2 is available now through all Telos and Omnia dealers.
