One year after introduction, shipments top the 2K mark

Axia Audio, the networked audio division of Telos Systems, announced today that their xNode IP-Audio Interfaces have broken a first-year sales record, topping 2,000 units shipped just prior to the first anniversary of their NAB introduction. xNodes are the third-generation IP-Audio interfaces introduced
just last year to multiple awards at the 2012 NAB show in Las Vegas.
"There are a lot of very popular broadcast products out there," says Marty Sacks, VP / Executive Director of Axia, "but very few set this kind of sales record. I think it's a tribute to the creativity of Axia clients that they've found so many ways to use this kind of IP-Audio technology!"
Sacks continues: "The industry is moving rapidly toward completely networked facilities, but until the day when every broadcast audio device has an Ethernet jack, stations will need devices to translate traditional analog and digital audio in to routable networked audio. That's what xNodes do, and – if I
may say so – they're the absolute best at what they do."
Sacks' comments refer to xNodes' stunning studio-grade audio specs, which include 24-bit Delta-Sigma A-D and D-A converters with 256x oversampling, analog line input CMRR of 80dB minimum, mic preamps with -128 dBu EIN, AES/EBU inputs with 126dB of dynamic range and <0.0003% THD, and
20 Hz – 20 kHz audio response throughout.
xNodes can be configured to provide either 8-in/8-out mono streams or 4-in/4-out stereo streams, and feature one-button configuration, dual-redundant power, Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability, two auto-switching LivewireTM ports for connection to parallel network paths, and sharp OLED front-panel displays that provide connection information, audio confidence metering, GPIO port status and more. Five flavors of xNode are available for use with analog, Mic-level, and AES/EBU I/O; there's also a GPIO xNode with 6 opto-isolated logic ports, and a unique Mixed-Signal xNode with 1 selectable Mic/Line
analog input with Phantom power, 2 dedicated analog line inputs, 3 analog line outputs, 1 digital AES3 input and 1 AES3 output, and 2 GPIO ports. All xNodes are fanless and convection-cooled for silent in-studio operation.
